A Summit County Business license is required if you are starting, buying, operating, or conducting business within the unincorporated areas of Summit County. Getting a license normally takes 5-10 business days, but can take up to 30 days, from the date the application is submitted until the approval process is completed.

These County Code Sections apply to county licenses. You should familiarize yourself with the requirements before applying.

Please do not apply unless you know you can pass an inspection with the Park City Fire Department. Your application will be delayed otherwise. You may be able to contact your building to make sure it has passed its annual inspection and do a walk-through of your space to make sure it is up to the fire code.
