Responsibilities

The Summit County Clerk's responsibilities include:

• Administering elections held in the county. Voting or election questions? Email Elections. 
• Maintaining the voter registration records.
• Issuing Business Licenses. 
• Issuing Marriage Licenses. Marriage Licenses and Marriage Ceremonies are by appointment only on the hour between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday - Friday. Call (435) 336-3204 to make an appointment.
• Passport Acceptance Facility
• Repository for council minutes, ordinances, resolutions, and other related documents. 

The Summit County Clerk is NOT the Summit County Justice Court Clerk or the Summit County District Court Clerk.
