Businesses that wish to sell or permit the consumption of alcohol are required to obtain the proper licenses from Summit County and the State of Utah through the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Services (DABS). Summit County has laws regarding the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages which comport with State Law and are governed by County Code sections 3-2-1 through 3-2-10.

Required Material for Alcohol License
Please begin this process at least 45 days before the event.
1. Obtain a Summit County Commercial Business License
2. Contact the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Services (DABS). Review their licensing requirements and get on their agenda.
3. Download the appropriate local consent form and application below. Complete the applicant, entity, and event information to submit with your application.
4. All new licenses require consent from all applicable county departments. When approved you will send the signed and stamped local consent form to the DABS.
