Roots of Conservation, a Conservation Education Series
Launched in March 2025, the Roots of Conservation: Growing the Conversation series is a new initiative from the Summit County Lands & Natural Resources Department, designed to connect our community with engaging, informative conservation education. Topics may include but are not limited to: noxious weeds, regenerative agriculture, wildlife, ecological restoration, conservation easements, wildfire prevention, outdoor recreation, and more.
The Lands & Natural Resources Department plans to host quarterly educational events ranging from seminars to interactive, hands-on workshops. Each event features local, regional, or state-wide experts who share their knowledge to foster stewardship and inspire action.
Whenever possible, events are recorded and shared on this page and on Summit County’s YouTube channel. Below, you’ll find past event flyers, topics, and dates.
