BillTrax User Guide

  1. What is BillTrax?

Summit County has partnered with BillTrax to provide a secure and user-friendly platform that is designed to simplify how you view and pay your property taxes online. Access your tax information anytime, anywhere, from any device.

Key features include: 

  • Email notification of the annual Notice of Valuation and the Tax Bill 
  • Complete payment history tracking
  • Convenient auto-pay options 
  • Payment reminders
  1. Step 1: Access the BillTrax Platform

Navigating to BillTrax

Visit the official Summit County BillTrax website by clicking HERE. For optimal functionality, we recommend using Chrome, Firefox, or Edge browsers with the latest updates.

  1. Step 2: Sign in with Your Email

Enter Your Email

Locate the Taxpayer Sign In box on the homepage and enter your email address, then click "Log in with OTP."

Retrieve Your Code

OTP stands for "One Time Password." Check your email inbox for the 6-digit verification code sent by BillTrax. Pro Tip: Check your spam folder if you don't see the verification email within a few minutes!

Complete Login

Enter the 6-digit code into the verification boxes that appear, then click "Confirm and Log In." Note: No need to save a password! You'll get a new One-Time Password every time you log into BillTrax.

Add Your Phone Number (Optional)

Enter your mobile number and click Next. You'll receive another One-Time Password to your phone.

  1. Step 3: Register Your Property Tax Account

Adding Your First Account

Enter your 7-digit Account Number in the Account # box and click the blue "Register" button. Congratulations—you've just created your BillTrax Dashboard!

Managing Multiple Properties

Own multiple properties in Summit County? Repeat the process for each additional tax account. All registered accounts will appear on your dashboard for easy management.

Quick Access Going Forward

The next time you visit BillTrax and log in with your email and One Time Password, all of your registered tax accounts will be waiting for you on your personalized dashboard.

  1. Step 4: Sign Up for E-Bill Notifications

Click Subscribe

Click the blue "Subscribe E-Bill" button on your dashboard for each tax account.

Select Owner Name

Choose the appropriate property owner name from the dropdown list.

Provide Signature

Digitally sign your name in the signature box to authorize the e-bill subscription.

Confirm Subscription

Click the orange  "Subscribe" button to complete your e-bill notification signup.

You'll now receive timely email notifications when your Summit County tax documents are available: Notice of Valuation in July to check your property value, and the Tax Notice in late October when property tax bills are available.
