Purpose:
The Snyderville Basin Open Space Advisory Committee (BOSAC) is created for the purpose of advising and providing input to the county manager and the county council regarding the creation, preservation, and identification of open space within the Snyderville Basin in order to ensure high conservation values and promote the resort and scenic character of the area. This committee is currently on hold.
Membership:
BOSAC members are appointed by the county manager on a nonpartisan basis, with the advice and consent of the county council. The committee will be composed of between seven (7) members and eleven (11) members, who may serve for three (3) consecutive three (3) year terms.
All members shall reside in the geographical boundaries of the BOSAC committee.
Duties:
BOSAC duties allow for advising the county manager as to the identification, preservation, and acquisition of open space, agricultural protection areas, and conservation easements with respect to the use of the Summit County Open Space General Obligation Bond and any subsequent countywide open space bonds issued hereafter.
