Introducing TextMyGov
Established in Northern Utah, TextMyGov pioneered a smart texting solution that eliminates the need for apps. Community members can text their county's 10-digit phone number to find information and report issues or opt into a five-digit number to receive topic-specific notifications (ex: road info, health info, etc.)
How to Opt-In
Community members can opt-in to receive text notifications from Summit County by texting "SUMMITCOUNTY" to 91896. After sending the initial keyword, you will be asked to reply "YES" to confirm opt-in. You can choose to opt-out at any time by texting "STOP".
Residents may also receive notifications for events, county service disruptions, and more. For specific text alerts, text one of the following keywords to the number 91896:
- For non-emergency updates on fire restrictions, conditions & more: text SCFIRE to 91896.
- For elections-related information, text SCVOTERS to 91896.
- For county road constructions, snow plowing, and more information from Public Works: text SCROADS to 91896.
- For health advisories and other Health Department updates: text SCHEALTH to 91896.
- For information on Summit Bike Share: text SCBIKE to 91896.
