The Summit County Council is seeking one individual to serve a two-year term on the High Valley Transit District Board of Trustees. The Board meets once per month, generally on the third Thursday of the month at 1PM, but subject to change, with additional public meetings as necessary.
Board members are also expected to serve on standing and ad-hoc committees as assigned by the Chair, meet with constituents, and to represent the district at various events throughout the year. Interested citizens must permanently reside within the boundary of the High Valley Transit District, generally inclusive of the entire boundary of the Park City School District, less the boundary of Park City Municipal, and including the Silver Creek area A quarterly stipend is provided and health insurance is available as permitted by state statute. The Board shall establish policy and provide operational and fiscal oversight of the transit operation. Members must: •Be a registered voter •Reside within the District boundaries •Be subject to recall by the Summit County Council Members must not be employed by the County or any annexing government entity.
