Welcome to the Summit County Engineering Department page! You may be wondering what our department does, and we are here to tell you that we:
- Design and manage construction for public works capital improvement projects
- Review and supervise the construction of all residential and commercial development projects (see Building Department for snow loads, easements and retaining walls, heated driveways)
- Manage the county right-of way and manage development in the floodplain
- Provide administration of county ordinances
Our office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8AM to 5PM and Fridays by appointment only.
